The role involves supervision, coordination, and recommendations of agronomy guidelines, with field and office duties and domestic travel. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, strong agronomy knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel and work closely with local tobacco farmers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or equivalent required.
• Strong understanding of agronomy practices, soil evaluation and crop protection.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with local tobacco farmers.
• Technical aptitude with PC and tablet experience; valid driver's license and travel ability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for contracted growers and maintain relationships.
• Provide guidance on production-related concerns and resolve issues affecting yield and quality.
• Monitor grower compliance programs and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate field activities, support trials, and evaluate opportunities to improve grower support.
• Assist with buying process including inspection, grading, and documentation.
• Conduct regular farm visits to monitor crop progress and provide agronomic recommendations.
• Support GAP, crop protection, sustainability, and customer compliance programs.
• Maintain grower records and program reporting; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
