Job summary

Syngenta Seeds is seeking a Field Crops Production Associate to support all phases of seed production from contracting to delivery. You will operate in an HSE-first culture and contribute to quality improvements in production and field practices.

You will recruit and onboard growers, conduct field scouting, assist in detasseling and pollination planning, collect field data, and help coordinate harvest logistics. Strong data skills and grower communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Agronomy or related field preferred.
• Less than 3 years of seed production or field-crop experience.
• Basic corn, soybean and field-crop knowledge.
• Ability to identify pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies.
• Accurate data collection and documentation.
• Grower communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in precision agriculture tools and GPS mapping.
• Adaptability to changing field conditions and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Support grower recruitment, onboarding and contract administration under guidance.
• Conduct field scouting and crop monitoring; report findings to production lead.
• Assist detasseling, rouging and pollination-management planning where applicable.
• Collect stand counts, disease/pest observations, purity checks and yields.
• Support harvest planning and logistics with growers and staff.
• Assist inventory allocation and distribution to seed producers.
• Execute agronomic production plans and communicate adjustments.
• Coordinate agronomic inputs with growers per specifications.
• Support bin-sampling and field record documentation for QMS/WPS/EPA.
• Field data entry and governance to improve processes; mentor technicians.
