Mediacom Communications seeks an Aerial Construction Specialist to perform aerial construction and coax splicing per codes and safety regulations. This role involves assisting linemen, spotter duties, and material handling in a fast-paced field environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and be able to travel as needed; a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT physical are required. On-site duties in Des Moines, IA with full benefits included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; trade school training preferred.
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Aerial Lineman by preparing materials, tools, and equipment needed for overhead line work.
• Act as a spotter for aerial lineman to ensure safety.
• Provide support by pulling and feeding cables, attaching hardware, and securing work areas.
• Climb utility poles using safety equipment and install cables per design.
