Compass Group USA in Mobile, AL is offering an accounting intern position for the Field Accounting Services team from May 17, 2027 to Aug 6, 2027. The internship runs 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, based in our Mobile, AL office, and provides hands-on financial support across field operations.

You will gain exposure to accounts payable, payroll, and internal controls while learning from a collaborative team in a leading foodservice and support services company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's in Accounting, rising junior or senior, GPA 3.0+.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access).
• Excellent communication and strong attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Act as a liaison between field operations and other Corporate functions such as Accounts Payable, Treasury, Capital Assets and Payroll
• Assist with ensuring monthly profit and loss statements are an accurate reflection of the results of the period
• Ensure accounting conforms to the Group Accounting Policies and Procedures and maintains our internal controls
• Validate field requests and prepare journal entries as needed
• Special projects as assigned
