Job Summary

Drive profitable sales growth by prospecting new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and expanding opportunities with current customers in core and emerging industries and markets to meet yearly sales goals. This position requires operation of a Company Vehicle or a Personal Vehicle, with such operation occurring more than 20% of the work week. An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report is a requirement for this position, and the company will conduct a review upon hiring.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Develops and maintains strong sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers across all levels of an organization, ensuring long-term sustainability.
  • Manages sales volume with existing customers, while actively prospecting and acquiring new customers to expand and diversify the customer base.
  • Develops and implements plans to expand business presence in the assigned area.
  • Shares market insights and competitor information with relevant channels throughout the organization, fostering strong relationships and collaborative partnerships.
  • Collaborates with leadership to analyze market trends and customer needs, providing valuable input for the development of effective sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Attends monthly business meetings for all company-sponsored associations, engages in local trade shows, and represents the organization in regional or national activities as necessary.

Nature and Scope

  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in complex research/data.
  • Work requires increasing independence; guidance is only provided on unusual, complex problems. Work is typically reviewed periodically by a supervisor or direct customers.
  • May provide guidance or training to junior support or professional personnel.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor setting. Any unpleasant conditions are infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting, with opportunities to move about. Rarely, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Overnight travel is typically less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline with 2-5 years of experience, or an MS/MA with 2-4 years of experience. Certification may be required in some areas.

Pay Range

$60,000.00 - $87,200.00 annually.
