SwipeSimple is seeking a dynamic field sales professional to drive SwipeSimple Connect, our all-in-one payments and customer-management offer for small businesses. Most activities are in person at trade shows, associations, and local business events across the United States.
You will start conversations on the floor, deliver quick demos, and follow up until owners sign or pass to inside sales. Expect frequent travel, remote work, and onboarding in your first week.
Do you like walking up to a stranger at a booth and turning a short conversation into a deal? Do you want your work to help local business owners get paid and grow? This role could be a good fit.
SwipeSimple helps small businesses get paid. Since 2013 we have built payment software and tools that merchants use to run their day: taking cards in person, sending invoices, collecting online, and keeping the books straight. More than 125,000 merchants use SwipeSimple. Banks, payment processors, and resellers offer SwipeSimple to their business customers. Businesses can also sign up with us directly through SwipeSimple Connect.
We serve small businesses and give priority to service businesses: HVAC, plumbing, chiropractic, physical therapy, salons and barbershops, mental health and family counseling, and more.
Serving these businesses well starts with understanding them. An HVAC owner and a salon owner get paid in different ways and go to different places for information. Very few of them read marketing publications. They ask other owners. They follow the trade accounts and podcasts their industry already listens to, and many go to trade shows. They trust a recommendation from someone who has done the job over anything a vendor tells them.
That is where this role comes in. You meet owners in person, in the places they already go, and earn enough trust that they try SwipeSimple and recommend us to each other.
You find new business for SwipeSimple Connect, our direct offer that gives small businesses payments and customer management software in one place. Most of your work happens face to face: at industry trade shows, association meetings, and local business events. You start conversations on the floor, run quick demos, and follow up until the owner signs or is ready for the inside sales team.
Location: remote, anywhere in the United States. You will work from home when you are not at an event or with the team.
Reports to: Director, Inside Sales
Travel: up to 75% of the time, including some evenings and weekends during events
Type: full-time, Exempt
Getting started: onboarding during your first week, then a structured ramp plan.
Background check: employment depends on a successful background check.
You will work closely with the inside sales team, the marketing team that plans our event presence, and our sales enablement manager.
