Job summary

Ardelyx is seeking a Field Reimbursement Manager to advance patient access for gastroenterology products. You will collaborate with Field Sales, Patient Services, and payors to resolve coverage barriers, support prior authorizations, and optimize the patient journey.

The role requires 6–9 years in field reimbursement or related areas, with strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, commercial plans, and patient assistance programs. Travel up to 75% in the field is expected.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 6–9 years in field reimbursement, patient services, market access, or related roles in pharma/biotech.
• 3–5 years as a field reimbursement manager in public or private sectors.
• Strong knowledge of medication access channels and specialty pharmacy.
• Experience with insurance benefits, prior authorization, denials, and patient assistance programs.
• Understanding GI products or GI provider experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with Patient Services, Field Sales, and providers to support patient access.
• Educate HCPs on prior authorizations, appeals, and denials.
• Review patient-specific information to resolve coverage challenges when requested.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address access barriers and implement solutions.
• Leverage HUB and specialty pharmacy partners to remove access barriers.
• Monitor payer trends and work with field teams to mitigate access challenges.
• Maintain knowledge of payor dynamics and distribution channels to support patients.
• Provide SME education on access and affordability across payer types.
• Adapt resources and messaging for HCPs in a changing healthcare landscape.
