Job summary

Truist is seeking a Fiduciary Support Specialist in the Richmond, VA area to assist with delivering trust administration for a portfolio of affluent clients. You will support Trust Advisors and coordinate with the Wealth team to provide an exceptionally high level of service.

Responsibilities include processing routine transactions, maintaining client records, and generating reports. A 3+ year track record in fiduciary or related client service is required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in fiduciary support or related client service roles.
  • Understanding of operating systems for trust and estate.
  • Knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented with One Team mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize relationship management by handling day-to-day client needs (deposits, distributions, payments, transfers).
  • Enter and maintain client records; monitor transactions and data accuracy.
  • Utilize trust systems to process transactions, monitor accounts, and generate reports.
  • Respond to client requests within authorized levels.
  • Support sales/retention by scheduling appointments and preparing meetings.
  • Contribute to fiduciary activities that enable quality client interactions.
  • Onboard new teammates and participate in training.
  • Assist with special projects for Fiduciary Group Support Leader.
  • Foster a positive team environment and advocate for Wealth clients across units.

Responsible for supporting the coordinated delivery of personal trust administration to a challenging and sensitive portfolio of affluent clients. Provide client support to Trust Advisors. Help coordinate with other members of the Wealth team (Advisors, Planners, etc.) to render an extraordinarily high level of service to our Wealth Clients.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prioritize relationship management activities by facilitating the day-to-day transactional needs of the client base, including processing deposits, distributions, payments, transfers, or other routine transactions
  • Enter and maintain appropriate client records, monitor client transactions and client data for accuracy and timeliness and maintain appropriate documentation of client transactions.
  • Utilize various trust systems to affect transactions, monitor accounts, and create reports
  • Respond to client requests for information and assistance within appropriate level of authority
  • Support the sales and retention effort by scheduling appointments, conducting follow-up telephone calls, and client meeting preparation
  • Prioritizing fiduciary activities that enable quality client interaction
  • Continually render extraordinarily responsive and personal service to our Wealth Clients
  • Participate in onboarding new teammates and training
  • Assist with special projects for Fiduciary Group Support Leader
  • Contribute to a positive team environment that fosters cooperation, trust and group identity and be an effective advocate for Wealth clients with other business units
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in the role as a Fiduciary Support Specialist, trust experience, investment, banking or financial planning-related client service experience, or equivalent outside experience
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the operating systems unique to line of business, including trust and estate
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of bank policy and procedures
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Contributes to a positive team environment that fosters cooperation, trust and incorporates the value of One Team approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exemplary customer service and professional etiquette skills
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Trust School attendee or graduate
  • Fiduciary experience a plus

The annual base salary for this position is $58,000-70,000 per year.
