Job summary

Lone Star National Bank seeks an experienced specialist to perform in-depth system tests and support the Data & Systems team in Edinburg, TX. You’ll maintain documentation on system changes and assist with technical reports to resolve issues, reporting progress and proposing actions as needed.

You will help identify control gaps, participate in training, and stay current on compliance with federal and state laws and internal bank policies. Bilingual English/Spanish is desired for this role.

Qualifications

• A self-starting team player with High School Diploma or GED and 4 years banking experience.
• A four year college degree from an accredited college or university and prior experience with Jack Henry, VERTEX and Yellow Hammer preferred.
• Basic keyboarding, typing 40-50 wpm and office equipment.
• Strong knowledge of personal computers and word processing/spreadsheet software.
• Proficient with queries using multiple software systems.
• Attention to detail and ability to concentrate with interruptions.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication and customer relations skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs in-depth system tests as assigned by an FID Supervisor or the FID Data & Systems Manager.

• Assists with special projects and technical reports for resolving problems.
• Provides progress reports and recommends actions as requested.
• Recommends new controls by identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Participates in job-specific training and bank training programs as necessary.
• Maintains knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting suspicious activity.
• Complies with all bank policies, procedures and regulations including audit controls.
• Keeps up to date with rules and laws related to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML.

JOB SUMMARY

Essential Duties

• Performs in-depth system tests as assigned by an FID Supervisor or the FID Data & Systems Manager to support the various areas in the department with system questions
• Maintains appropriate levels of documentation regarding system changes and updates
• Assists with special projects and technical reports for resolving problems
• Provides progress reports and recommending actions as requested
• Recommends new controls by identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement regarding processes and procedures
• Participates in job specific training and other various Bank training programs, as necessary
• Maintains current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy
• Maintains current knowledge and complies with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations
• Maintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML

ORGANIZATION

• This position reports to the FID Data & Systems Manager
• This position does not oversee other positions

Training Requirements
