Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, or related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated engineering resource for the fiberline area, providing troubleshooting and technical support to operators, shift supervisors, and leadership.
• Support high quality product standards and work to reduce process and product variability across the fiberline.
• Analyze process data to identify root causes of nonstandard operation and present corrective actions.
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate fiberline process trials including chemical and equipment trials for cost reduction and quality enhancement.
• Develop capital improvement opportunities to FEL1 level and hand off matured concepts to Capital Project Engineering.
• Lead Six Sigma Green Belt projects and mentor co-ops and interns in process knowledge.
