Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for a Machine Operator in Lincoln, NE. The role involves setting up and operating machines to shape large fiberglass tubes, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality with precise measurements.

The environment is on-site, high-volume, with cross-training across production areas and a path to full-time hire. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of machine operator experience, can read a tape measure to 1/32 of an inch, and can lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6+ months of machine operator experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32" accurately.
• Stand for 8+ hours per day while performing tasks.
• Safely lift and handle items up to 40 lbs.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and basic machine operation.
• Comfort with composites, fiberglass, and acetone, following safety rules.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines to shape composites and produce large fiberglass tubes.
• Read blueprints/diagrams to position machinery correctly.
• Adjust machine settings to meet specs and production needs.
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures at all times.
• Use measurement tools to verify dimensions and quality.
• Work in Gear Box area using various measurement tools.
• Support molding operations with plastics and sheet fiberglass; clean as required.
• Perform Cut & Bond tasks using data entry and saw operations.
• Assist in packaging, handling items up to 40 lbs.
• Operate shop equipment like saws and grinders daily.
• Conduct basic inspection to ensure quality standards.
