Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of drafting experience.
• Associate Degree preferred, or AutoCAD certification.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in wireline and fiber construction design.
• Exposure to construction estimating, material takeoffs, or project costing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Draft construction documents for wireline and fiber construction sites in AutoCAD under the direction of a Project Manager.
• Maintain project drawing files, drawing library, and associated records and documentation per company policies.
• Complete close-out packages for customers, including as-built maps and fiber documentation.
• Review and verify design drawings for accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Assist with basic project estimating activities, including quantity takeoffs, material counts, and identifying labor or material requirements from drawings and project documentation.
• Support Project Managers with gathering information needed to develop preliminary estimates and project pricing.
• Review drawings, scopes, and field information to help identify discrepancies or items that may impact project quantities or costs.
• Collaborate with engineers and Project Managers to ensure timely completion of drafting and estimating-related tasks.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on drafting progress.
