Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Lineman I Telecom in Ottawa, KS to assist with fiber and telecom line installations and maintenance. You will work alongside experienced Linemen to ensure safe, reliable service while supporting storm response as needed.

You must be at least 18, authorized to work in the United States, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Construction experience in telecom is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver's license (not Provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• Construction experience in telecommunications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of fiber and telecom cables overhead and promptly repair issues to ensure efficient and reliable service.
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws.
• Maintain safe work areas so that traffic flows smoothly while on the job.
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Other duties as assigned.
