Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking skilled Fiber technicians for a contract-to-hire role based in Burlington, TX. You will work onsite performing fiber splicing, termination, testing, and cabling across structured pathways and data centers.

The role requires interpreting blueprints and diagrams, maintaining cable management, and delivering projects on schedule. You will communicate progress and issues to project management and ensure installations meet client specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience performing fiber splicing, termination, and testing.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, cable schedules, and network diagrams.
• Maintain labeling, documentation, and cable management to standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee fiber splicing, termination, and testing.
• Ensure proper use of testing equipment (OTDR, power meters, VFL).
• Troubleshoot fiber network issues and implement corrective actions.
• Verify labeling, documentation, and cable management meet standards.
• Maintain quality control and ensure installations meet client specifications.
