Job summary

Metronet is seeking a Fiber Technician in Lexington, KY to install and troubleshoot fiber services from the terminal to customer premises. You will educate customers on Metronet products and services, ensuring professional interactions and adherence to performance metrics.

The role includes on-call duties, overtime, and occasional travel for training. A high school diploma or GED is required, with telecom experience beneficial but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs and climb ladders.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience with telecom or fiber preferred but not required.
• Able to work in attics, crawl spaces and adverse weather.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot Metronet services from terminal to CPE.
• Provide in-depth customer education on Metronet products.
• Earn commissions by explaining Metronet services.
• Maintain professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Meet key performance metrics.
• Perform on-call rotation and overtime as needed.
• Travel for training as required.
