Position: Experienced Fiber Technicians

• This is a full-time position with the ability to work overtime as required.
• Travel is typically short-term throughout Alabama and neighboring states; travel includes paid lodging and per-diem.

• Rates depend on knowledge, experience, and ability.

Experience & Qualifications

• BICSI credentials are a plus.
• High proficiency in low-voltage systems is required for positions above helper level.
• Experience with ladder racks, LAN, backbone, security, and audio/video cabling is necessary.
• Verifiable credentials supporting experience are required.
• Experience in installing UTP, fiber optic, and copper cabling, testing, and reporting is necessary.
• Ability to interact with project managers and engineers, perform surveys, plan, and manage crews.
• References and industry-recognized certifications are required.
• Fiber optic experience and basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, are essential.

Safety & Physical Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Pre-employment drug, background, and DMV checks.
• Commitment to safety, including completing safety reports and proper use of ladders and work platforms.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, work in confined spaces, and at heights.
• Comfort with operating tools and working in various environmental conditions.

Communication Skills

• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to perform basic math and distinguish colors.
