Job summary

Primoris Services Corp. seeks a Fiber Splicer in Lufkin, TX to perform splicing and testing of fiber optic cables across outdoor and indoor environments. You will work with fusion splicers, OTDRs, and power meters to ensure high-quality connections and documentation.

The role requires some day/night shifts and availability for on-call rotations. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of fiber experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a team or independent work setting.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of fiber splicing and testing.
• Knowledge of fusion machines, OTDRs and fiber testing tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Fusion splice SM or MM outside plant loose tube, inside plant tight buffered, and ribbon fiber optic cable.
• Prepare, dress, and store fiber cabling to specs and assemble equipment per design specs.
• Prepare armored and non-armored cables, ribbon and loose tube fiber; perform live fiber cut-overs during maintenance hours.
