• Valid State driver's license with a clean driving record.

What you'll do as a Fiber Splicer

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground, with guidance
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network's circuit post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards
• Navigate safely working at different heights, from underground to aerial environments
• Perform basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
• Document work through daily reports, map markings, and material records
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant experience
• Valid State driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam for a medical card
• 6 months of splicing experience or one year in telecommunications

Additional qualifications

• Certified pole climber or demonstrated proficiency
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structures

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: operate vehicles and heavy machinery, perform fine hand motions, work alone in remote locations, arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift over 55 pounds
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces, climb poles using ladder and gaffs, use keyboard and mouse
