Job summary

Lumos is hiring Service Operations Technicians to install, test, and maintain fiber services for homes and businesses. You’ll set up fiber facilities, perform OTDR traces, install CPE, and troubleshoot GPON/PON networks at customer sites.

You’ll work onsite with customers, coordinate with the SOC, and support deployments, upgrades, and maintenance. A background in telecom, strong communication, and a safe driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year fiber/telecom industry experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain fiber services at customer sites.
• Perform OTDR traces and fiber characterization.
• Set up GPON/ONTs, routers, and related equipment.
• Update trouble tickets, orders, and timesheets accurately.
• Coordinate with SOC and engineering for upgrades and repairs.
