Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Tech Transfer Engineer to bridge R&D and Production, transferring processes from France and leading process optimization. The role reports to the R&D team in France and requires collaboration across European sites.

The candidate will deploy R&D developed processes into production, develop documentation, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and ISO compliance. Fluency in French is required.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering required.
  • 2–5 years minimum of experience in manufacturing.
  • Willingness to travel to Europe factories.
  • Subject matter expert in assigned process area.
  • Experience in optical fiber manufacturing (Deposition/Overclad/Fiber Draw).
  • Fluent in French.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab and DMAIC/CI.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and deploy processes into production that have been developed in an R&D setting.
  • Develop/translate process documentation.
  • Optimize processes to meet productivity and yield targets before transferring to production.
  • Organize and manage new process rollout on a machine-by-machine basis.
  • Travel to other manufacturing sites several times per year (Travel typically less than 10%).
  • Define and implement improvement projects that reduce cost and/or improve product quality.
  • Query and analyze large data sets to make data-driven decisions.
  • Develop and lead the plant’s culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Report directly to R&D Leadership team in Douvrin, France.
