Job summary

IPG Photonics, a leader in fiber laser technology, is seeking an assembler to join our manufacturing team in the Salem area. You will assemble fiber-optic components, use small hand tools, and operate test equipment in a cleanroom environment, while maintaining cleanliness and meeting production metrics.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related assembly experience; microscope experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related assembly experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Microscope experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fiber-optic components and packaging items.
• Operate manufacturing test equipment and basic measurement tools.
• Maintain cleanliness and wear required cleanroom attire.
• Cross-train in production area as assigned by supervisor.
• Meet production metrics defined by the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
