Job summary

Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support a national client base. You will perform OTDR testing, splicing (fusion/mechanical), fault-distance identification, and fiber certification across diverse environments.

The role offers flexible scheduling, field travel, and opportunities to work on fiber infrastructure projects nationwide. A valid vehicle and standard fiber/telecom tools are required.

Qualifications

• Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• OTDRs, power meters, light sources, fiber certification equipment, and visual fault locators familiarity.
• Understanding of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic systems.
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices.
• Ability to read network diagrams, splice schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• At least 1 year of Fiber, IT, or Telecom experience, and one of the following certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of fiber optic and technical tasks including: fusion/splicing, OTDR testing, fault-distance identification, and cable terminations.
• Inspect, clean, and remediate connectors; patch-cord troubleshooting and jumper replacement.
• Install, terminate, and test single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cabling.
• Document test results, splicing records, and project deliverables.
• Work independently across diverse environments (retail, medical, restaurant, corporate, telecom, data centers).
• Maintain professionalism with clients and stakeholders; respond to service requests within coverage territory as needed.
