Job summary

CloudHQ, based in Ashburn, Virginia, seeks a Telecom Infrastructure Technician / Inspector to perform fiber-optic installation, testing, and inspection, ensuring safe, reliable turnover of telecom infrastructure. The role requires 3+ years in technical infrastructure and hands-on fiber work, with driving duties and a valid license.

Ideal candidates will have CFOT/OSHA or similar credentials, plus experience with outside-plant construction and data centers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training beneficial.
• Hands-on fiber-optic installation, repair, testing or related telecom work.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, dress, secure, label, terminate, splice, and repair fiber-optic cables and components.
• Inspect telecom construction against drawings, scopes, specs, permits and quality requirements.
• Observe conduit, duct, path, labeling, and restoration activities as applicable.
• Perform continuity, polarity, optical loss, power-meter, and reflectometry testing.
• Document daily progress, test results, site conditions, photos, redlines and deficiencies.
