Qualifications

Job Description

Major Functions

We are seeking a Fiber Optic Technician for the Facility Management Division located in Daytona Beach, Florida. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and replacing electronic systems in the County of Volusia facilities, structures and buildings with little or no supervision.

Duties

• Plans for installs, maintains, tests, and repairs electronic equipment.

Completion of the eighth (8th) grade and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in electrical maintenance and repair. Having met the minimum requirements,The preferred candidate will have a high school diploma and at least five (5) years of experience installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing electronic systems.

Electronic or electrical certification/license and/or experience with Gallagher access systems, ONSSI Ocularis technology, fire alarm systems and National Association Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) standards is a plus.
