OSO COMMUNICATIONS INC in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a hands-on Fiber Optic Puller to join the field crew. This is a physical, outdoor role where you will learn fiber pulling, operate equipment, and support telecom construction projects.

No experience required—we will train you. You’ll work with foremen and crews to install cables, maintain safety, read diagrams, and ensure quality on every site.

• No experience required; training provided.
• Willingness to learn fiber pulling and safe installation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a crew.

Responsibilities

• Pull and blow fiber optic cable through conduit, vaults, pedestals, and duct.
• Set up pulling equipment, prep job sites, and maintain safe work zones.
• Operate fiber blowers, hydraulic pullers, and other tools.
• Read diagrams and work orders to ensure correct routing.
• Drive to job sites and work outdoors.
• Communicate with foremen and crews to meet project goals.
• Perform basic equipment checks and maintenance.
• Assist with potholing, setup, cleanup, and general crew tasks.
• Prevent utility conflicts and maintain organized, compliant work areas.

Join a fast‑moving fiber team installing underground cable across New Mexico. This is a hands‑on, physical field role where you’ll learn how to pull fiber, operate equipment, and support real telecom construction projects.

What You’ll Do

• Pull and blow fiber optic cable through conduit, vaults, pedestals, and duct
• Set up pulling equipment, prep job sites, and maintain safe work zones
• Operate fiber blowers, hydraulic pullers, and other tools
• Apply proper tension to protect fiber and prevent damage
• Read diagrams and work orders to ensure correct routing
• Drive to job sites and work outdoors
• Communicate with foremen and crews to meet project goals
• Perform basic equipment checks and maintenance
• Assist with potholing, setup, cleanup, and general crew tasks
• Prevent utility conflicts and maintain organized, compliant work areas
