The Position Proposition:

Talus Development LLC, a Primoris Company, is a full-service telecommunications and utility contracting firm headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. We promote a culture that challenges and engages our employees.

• Commitment to quality, following industry and customer standards
• Attention to detail and adherence to documented instructions
• Safe use of hand and small power tools
• Preparation and installation of fiber cables into various enclosures, including new and existing
• Fusion splicing fibers within customer specifications
• Reading and interpreting splice details and completing as-built documentation
• Troubleshooting down to element level based on traces and testing results
• Knowledge of and ability to follow NESC and other safety regulations
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Testing light levels with EXFO or similar power meters
• Troubleshooting ODN issues
• Training field technicians
• Completing OLM activations and speed tests
• Updating customer documentation and as-built drawings
• Providing accurate invoicing data
• Performing high-capacity fiber work
• Experience with loose tube, spider ribbon, and other cable types
• Performing OLT augmentation and testing
• Coordinating with project planners
• Completing HFC mid-split node changes and documentation

Education & Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• Four years of fiber optic splicing and troubleshooting experience
• Proficiency with EXFO 715 OTDR or newer, with ability to interpret results
• ETA Fiber Technician certification
• Ability to distinguish fiber jacket colors
• Valid Arizona driver license with a clean record
• Proficiency with Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to lift 70 lbs
