Job summary

XKIG is seeking a field crew member to install and maintain fiber optic systems, including overhead and underground lines. You will lash, de-lash, and install cables using bucket trucks, while reading engineering drawings and completing daily reports.

The role requires climbing, lifting heavy loads, and traveling to multiple sites with overtime and weekend work as needed. A DOT Health Card and valid license are required; CDL preferred with 90‑day readiness.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of aerial construction experience.
• DOT Health Card required to operate bucket trucks.
• Valid and unrestricted Driver's License.
• Able to read/write and understand aerial drawings.
• Able to lift 75-80 lbs.
• Able to work at heights 20+ feet.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Willing to work overtime when requested.
• Willing to travel and work nights/weekends.
• CDL license preferred; able to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain overhead and underground fiber optic systems.
• Operate bucket trucks to lash and de-lash cables.
• Read and interpret engineering documents.
• Complete daily production and required paperwork.
• Coordinate with utilities and schedule plant-related activities.
• Attend training on safety and new technology.
