Job summary

Buck's Communications in Brunswick County is seeking Fiber Optic Installation Technicians to install, maintain, and troubleshoot FTTH for residential customers. You will deliver reliable, high-speed internet from right-of-way to the home and represent our team with professionalism.

No fiber optic experience is required—we provide hands-on training and pathways for long-term careers. We offer a company vehicle, tools, paid training, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Mechanical or technical aptitude and interest in internet/telecom technology.
• Ability to use hand tools, test equipment, and follow technical instructions.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces and at heights.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install and service high-speed fiber internet in residential homes.
• Educate customers on their new equipment and services.
• Troubleshoot service issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Work both indoors and outdoors in all seasons and environments.
• Operate independently in the field after training.
