Responsibilities

• Lead daily fiber optic construction, network maintenance, and outside plant (OSP) operations.
• Supervise approximately 10–12 field technicians, coordinating schedules, work assignments, and crew performance.
• Oversee aerial and underground fiber installation, lashing, rerouting, damage repairs.
• Work alongside field crews to troubleshoot issues, support complex repairs, and complete priority projects.
• Coordinate emergency restoration efforts involving outages, storm damage, and network disruptions.
• Plan labor, equipment, materials, and field resources to maintain efficient operations.
• Monitor jobsite safety, construction quality, project progress, and crew productivity.
• Manage capital improvement projects and coordinate construction and maintenance priorities.
• Maintain project records, maintenance documentation, work schedules, and operational reports.
• Use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications to support daily operations.
• Partner with internal departments and leadership to resolve operational challenges and maintain project timelines.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in fiber optic construction, telecommunications line work, or OSP network maintenance required.
• Experience as a Fiber Optic Foreman, Telecom Line Foreman, OSP Construction Supervisor, Fiber Maintenance Supervisor, or comparable field leader.
• Knowledge of aerial and underground fiber construction, lashing, rerouting, damage repairs, and network maintenance.
• Experience supervising field crews, coordinating work assignments, and managing construction or maintenance schedules.
• Ability to perform hands-on fieldwork alongside technicians when necessary, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and computer-based reporting or scheduling tools.
• Experience maintaining construction documentation, maintenance records, and operational reports.
• Knowledge of telecommunications construction safety practices and field operations.
• Military leadership experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work onsite in Houston and respond to occasional after-hours emergencies, outages, storm events, and major projects.
