Job summary

Douglas Fast Net, based in Creswell, Oregon, seeks an experienced Outside Operations Manager to lead the outside plant team responsible for aerial and underground fiber construction. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while guiding crews to complete projects to DFN and industry standards.

This role reports to the Creswell shop daily, overseeing scheduling, budgeting, vendor relations, and coordination with engineering and operations to align projects with company goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outside plant construction experience.
• Degree in construction management preferred but not required.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to outside plant facilities.
• Excellent communication with engineers, technicians, contractors, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of outside plant team, including scheduling and budgeting.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet safety standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and operations to align projects with business goals.
• Develop and maintain project documentation.
• Manage relationships with vendors and contractors.
• Meet with customers and stakeholders to discuss planning when needed.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety.
• Take after-hours calls and operate company vehicles.
