Job summary

ALLO Communications, LLC is seeking a Fiber Locator to locate underground fiber optic cables accurately and safely in Papillion, Omaha, and surrounding markets. You will manage daily routes, complete locate documentation, and coordinate with GIS teams to ensure map accuracy.

We require a High School diploma; GIS or utility locating experience is a plus. Candidates must be able to travel between markets, lift up to 50 lbs, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with locating underground utilities and GIS is a plus.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Strong organizational and safety awareness skills.

Responsibilities

• Search for underground fiber optics and accurately marking the location.
• Complete all necessary locate documentation.
• Maintain daily contact with utility managers, crews, homeowners, and contractors regarding locate issues.
• Receive daily locates via computer/device.
• Prioritize daily work by routing and scheduling.
