Responsibilities

• Install, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables in both aerial and underground environments according to technical specifications and safety standards.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on fiber optic lines to ensure optimal performance and prevent service disruptions.
• Diagnose and repair faults in fiber optic networks using specialized testing equipment and tools.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to plan and execute fiber network expansions and upgrades.

About the Role:

The Fiber Lineman plays a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic cable systems that support high-speed telecommunications and data networks. This position ensures the integrity and reliability of fiber infrastructure by working both underground and aerially to connect and service fiber optic lines. The Fiber Lineman collaborates closely with engineering and technical teams to troubleshoot network issues and implement upgrades that meet industry standards. Safety and precision are paramount, as the role involves working with high-voltage equipment and in various environmental conditions. Ultimately, the Fiber Lineman contributes to delivering seamless communication services that are essential for business operations and community connectivity in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Completion of an accredited fiber optic training program or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Basic knowledge of network architecture and telecommunications systems.
