Job summary

Custom Staffing is seeking a Fiber Laser Operator for a Marion, OH manufacturing partner. The role involves operating fiber laser CNC equipment to produce precision cuts from blueprints, ensuring quality and maintaining machine readiness. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Produce parts and tools from metal using a Laser/CNC equipment.
• Read blueprints and adjust machine speed, feed and path of cut to ensure quality.
• Ensure machines are at full capacity, stocked with materials, and well-maintained.
• Inspect finished products for defects before proceeding to next production step.

Job description

Custom Staffing is partnering with a local Manufacturing Company to add a Fiber Laser Operator to their team in Marion, OH. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Position: Fiber Laser Operator - Flat or Tube Laser

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Overtime as needed)

Pay: Starting at $24+/hour, based on experience

Employment Type: Direct Hire Opportunity

Essential Functions:

• Produce parts and tools from metal or other materials using a Laser, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision cuts into material.
• Operators look at blueprints for the finished product, make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product.
• Make sure machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials, well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output.
• Look at the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.

Preferred:

• 3+ years experience using a Laser cutting machine.
