Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a hands-on Cable Installation Technician to support copper and fiber cabling projects in data centers. You will install, decommission, test, and document network cabling, read blueprints, and assist with pathways and seismic bracing.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of low-voltage cabling, telecommunications, or data center environments or willingness to learn.
• Ability to use hand tools and follow established safety procedures.
• Able to read floor plans, diagrams, and installation documentation.
• Willingness to learn copper and fiber cabling, testing, labeling, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, decommission, and support copper and fiber cabling infrastructure within data center environments.
• Perform cable routing, dressing, labeling, terminations, and testing with proper documentation.
• Read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, and design documents to execute installation projects and update redline records.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting of low-voltage, copper, and fiber cabling systems using standard test equipment.
• Assist with installation of cable pathways, ladder racks, seismic bracing, and MDF/IDF infrastructure.
• Maintain safety, quality, customer service, and housekeeping while collaborating with technicians and stakeholders.

• Perform cable routing, dressing, labeling, terminations, and testing while maintaining accurate documentation and test records.
• Read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, and design documents to execute installation projects and update redline documentation.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting of low-voltage, copper, and fiber cabling systems using industry‑standard test equipment.
• Assist with the installation of cable pathways, ladder racks, seismic bracing, and MDF/IDF infrastructure.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, customer service, and housekeeping while collaborating with technicians and project stakeholders.
