Job description

Prince Telecom is hiring entry-level Fiber Installation Technicians in Tempe, AZ, to join our team and help connect America!

Compensation: $18/hr+

Job Type: Full-Time

We provide paid training, a company vehicle, full benefits, and tuition assistance.

What you'll do...

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone services according to guidelines.
• Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
• Install, set up, and configure residential networking equipment such as ONTs, routers, and switches.
• Ensure service operates within prescribed parameters by performing testing on company-issued and customer devices.
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Drive a company vehicle safely between home/office, warehouse, and work sites.
• Maintain and stock vehicle and equipment for optimal performance.
• Complete paperwork accurately and update work order statuses.
• Perform customer service duties, including greeting and interacting professionally, reviewing requested services, and educating customers about products and services.

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You have a valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• You are authorized to work in the United States.
• You have a high school diploma or GED.
• You are comfortable working in tight spaces like crawl spaces or attics.
• You can work in inclement weather conditions.
• You thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• You possess effective communication skills.
• You can travel and work extended hours, including overtime and weekends.
• You are capable of lifting, climbing, and carrying ladders weighing up to 80 lbs.
