Job Description

The Fiber I&R Technician position is in Powell, TN and is full-time. The primary function is to install fiber optic internet services, providing world class quality, and product education for residential and commercial customers.

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers.
• Ensuring performance of internet, phone, and television services.
• Completing pre-install work orders and post-install service verification and customer education.
• Placing aerial or buried fiber optic drops and installing wiring.
• Observing safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Assisting team members as needed.
• Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Adapting to new processes and information.
• Using internal systems for work order notation and timekeeping.
• Maintaining customer appointments and meeting productivity metrics.
• Relocating across regions of NNE as needed.

Qualifications

Experience with fiber optic internet and home phone services is required.

Must satisfy company tools and safety equipment checklist, own a truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack, and have own tools.

Required devices include an Android Samsung Galaxy S23 or newer, and a laptop with Microsoft Excel.

Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, communicate effectively, and work overtime/weekends as needed.

Must pass background, MVR, and drug tests, and be dependable and accountable.

Compensation

Pay is production-based, rates provided upon resume submission.
