We have Fiber I&R Technician positions in the Butler, Waynesboro, and Chambersburg, PA market, and it is a full-time role. The primary responsibility is to install fiber optic internet services, ensuring quality and providing product education for residential and commercial customers.

Role and Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers.
• Ensure proper performance of internet, phone, and TV services.
• Complete pre-install work orders, verify post-install services, and educate customers.
• Place aerial or buried fiber drops and install wiring.
• Mark proposed drop paths and perform microduct hand digging.
• Follow all safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Assist team members as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with customers.
• Adapt to new processes and information.
• Use internal systems for work orders and timekeeping.
• Install fiber services and repair existing ones.
• Maintain customer appointments and meet performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Fiber optic internet and home phone experience required.
• Own tools, vehicle with ladder rack, and fiber splicer.
• Smartphone and Laptop (with Microsoft Excel).
• Lift up to 80 lbs unassisted.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and multi-tasking skills.
• Pass background check, MVR, and drug test.
• Dependable, responsible, and able to work overtime/weekends as needed.

Compensation is production-based, with rates provided upon resume submission.
