Job summary

Metronet is seeking an OSP Field Supervisor to lead on-site construction and ensure safety and adherence to Metronet’s standards. You will act as a frontline ambassador, resolving neighborhood issues and coordinating aerial and underground work with crews.

The role requires a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficient problem-solving across diverse daily tasks, from inspections to contractor oversight. On-site work in field environments is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3–5 years related experience or equivalent.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
• Valid driver license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of specifications, practices, and safety.
• Inspect aerial fiber placement on poles and underground conduit/handholes for quality and specs.
• Approve unitized completed aerial work to Metronet standards.
• Manage the OSP Construction Tracker.
• Monitor budget for assigned work orders.
• Respond to utility strikes, investigate, and document within 24 hours; retrain or terminate contractors as needed.
• Conduct weekly safety/quality audits of contractors.
