Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate fiber draw towers from a basket lift at different height levels to convert glass preforms into optical fiber.
• Monitor and control process parameters such as furnace temperature, draw speed, and tension.
• Perform real-time measurements of fiber diameter and coating concentricity.
• Apply fiber coatings and ensure proper UV curing.
• Conduct quality inspections in compliance with Coherent specifications.
• Handle and load preforms safely.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process deviations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on draw tower systems.
• Document production data and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams for process improvements.
