Job summary

Conexon is seeking an onsite quality control inspector with FTTH experience to support fiber network builds. The role requires organizing field activities, communicating with clients and cooperatives, and travelling to project sites as needed.

The ideal candidate can interpret FTTH/FTTX design, perform QA checks, and ensure closeout and invoicing are accurate. Join a team dedicated to expanding rural broadband access.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are looking for qualified candidates for onsite quality control inspection that have experience in all facets of constructing a FTTH network and is looking for experience in telecommunications construction. This candidate should have experience in FTTX, FTTH, FTTP, Fiber, telecommunications or broadband projects. Fiber Construction OC Inspectors must be organized and have good written and verbal communication skills to communicate with clients, cooperative members, and co-workers. Current opportunity includes work onsite with some travel required.

Requirements

• Complete ride out edits
• Understanding of FTTH plant design
• Quality control Inspection and contractor compliance
• Reconciliation of close out packages
• Cost control for the client and Conexon
• Understanding of NESC standards
• Production verification and invoice reconciliation with production
• Assist in promotion and sales of Conexon services
• Participation in weekly client conference calls
• Evaluate and advise on FTTH construction techniques
• Weekly status reporting
• General computer skills
• Additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk long distance through varying terrain: crossing ditches, crossing fences
• Ability to walk up and down hill
• Ability to be in and out of the vehicle multiple times a day
