Job summary

ITG Communications in Kenly, NC is seeking a skilled Splicer to perform coaxial and fiber optic cable splicing for telecom construction projects. You will interpret diagrams, follow client specifications, test connections, and document splice locations and results.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Perform skilled splicing for coaxial and fiber optic cables per standards and client specs.
Test connections using specialized equipment to ensure signal quality.
Interpret diagrams, schematics, and work orders to complete splice projects accurately.
Maintain documentation of splice locations, tests, and quality results.
Identify and resolve issues affecting cable integrity or signal quality.
Follow safety protocols for underground and aerial work environments.
Maintain splicing equipment and tools in proper working condition.
Collaborate with crews and supervisors to ensure project completion.
Complete splicing work within specified timeframes to support schedules.
Stay current with evolving splicing techniques through ongoing training.
