Job summary

Great Plains Communications is seeking experienced Broadband Technicians to install and repair internet, phone, and TV services across the Omaha Metro including Bellevue, Blair and Fremont. You will work as a brand ambassador delivering outstanding customer experiences while supporting business and residential customers.

This role requires 1–7 years of related experience, the ability to work rotating weekends and on call, and the physical aptitude to lift up to 50 lbs and operate bucket trucks.

Qualifications

• 1–7 years of related experience with a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electronics and testing equipment (EXFO Light meters, volt-ohm meters).
• Fiber fusion splicing and provisioning experience is a plus, but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Network Services: Install, splice, and repair internet, phone, and TV services over coax, copper and fiber systems.
• Systems Maintenance: Help maintain mainline coax and fiber systems to ensure high performance.
• Customer Success: Promote company products and services while delivering outstanding support.
• Administrative: Interpret and complete staking sheets, work orders, maps, and cable counts.
• Logistics & Safety: Operate company vehicles and equipment, work non-standard hours, and travel for training as needed.
