Job summary

International Paper Atglen Plant is seeking a General Helper who will advance to Machine Operator, operating corrugated converting equipment at our Atglen, PA facility. The role supports safety, quality, and efficiency across shifts. Probation pay starts at $25.01/hr and increases to $26.14/hr, with qualified rates up to $31.19/hr.

Shifts are 2nd or 3rd, Monday–Friday; full-time, hourly position. The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate setup, and adherence to safety standards to keep production

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of industrial plant manufacturing experience.
• Corrugated industry background preferred.
• Sit-down forklift and/or pull-pack experience preferred.
• Proficiency with tape measures and rulers; solid basic shop math.

Responsibilities

• Run production machinery with a safety-first mindset; adhere to all safety rules.
• Read, translate, and interpret work orders, print cards, and design specifications.
• Use basic shop math for measurements and verification.
• Read tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment accurately.
• Team with machine crew to set up jobs and execute orders efficiently.
• Maintain quality and production standards; monitor throughput and quality.
• Practice ongoing housekeeping throughout the shift.
• Conduct quality inspections and tests; record results.
• Take on other duties as assigned by supervision.
