Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking an Aerial Lineman for our Midwest Travel Crew to support aerial mainline fiber construction, maintenance, removal, and repair. You will join a team that prioritizes safety and quality while working on long-term projects across the region.

You will operate from bucket trucks and other equipment, read blueprints, and coordinate with the crew to ensure safe, efficient completion of tasks with a strong emphasis on quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Make safety a priority in every task, following all company, OSHA, and job-site requirements and using proper PPE
• Perform aerial mainline fiber construction, including strand and fiber installation, lashing, hardware installation, and maintenance
• Operate and work safely from bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other aerial construction equipment
• Read and understand blueprints, construction prints, and utility locates to safely complete work and protect existing utilities
• Work alongside the crew to complete construction, material handling, and other tasks as needed
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized job site
