Job summary

Citi is seeking a FI Risk - Java Developer for a hybrid role. You will contribute to risk applications, design and implement Java-based solutions, and collaborate with global technology teams to deliver scalable, secure software.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of experience in systems analysis and programming, with hands-on expertise in Java, microservices, APIs, Kafka and data platforms. You will mentor juniors and help ensure timely, quality delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas.
• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users.
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement.
• Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality.
• Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems.
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

This position is essential to lead the Bonds migration project for LM (Local Market) countries. This is a Consent Order Project, requiring the migration of native risk calculations from eDealer to the Strategic XCS Platform within Simpliciti The skills required for this job include: Java (or .NET Core), Microservices, APIs, Kafka, Flink, and ECS.

Brief description of the role: This is a critical role to lead the Bonds migration project for LM countries, specifically for the Consent Order initiative. The Senior Lead will collaborate with various stakeholders across teams to ensure timely project delivery. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing various measures for Bonds, and for publishing risk data to Rates Data, CRMR, XRS, and other partner systems. The candidate will also lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. In addition to onboarding Consent Order (CO) eligible countries, the role requires completing the migration for over 60 other LM countries, transitioning Bonds Risk calculations to the XCS Pipeline.
