Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Food Science or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of technical R&D experience in food, bakery, or snacks.
• Strong foundation in formulation, product development, and process engineering.
• Experience with stage-gate processes, specs, and data governance.
• Ability to translate data into actionable technical, operational, and financial recommendations.
• Food safety foundation; PCQI training a plus.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation development for Uncrustables breads and sandwich products.
• Frame business problems, define learning plans, and recommend clear paths forward.
• Serve as a project lead on higher- complexity innovation, renovation, and transformation initiatives.
• Define experimental strategies; lead lab, pilot plant, scale-up, and manufacturing work.
• Interpret data holistically and translate findings into feasible recommendations.
• Coach others to strengthen formulation and product development capabilities.
• Support technical documentation and data governance; collaborate across functions.
