The Scale Collective, a boutique interior design firm with high-end residential and commercial projects in California and Miami, is seeking a junior Interior Designer.

The candidate should have experience sourcing furniture, lighting, art and accessories, and be comfortable in all phases of interior design. This hybrid Marin County role offers opportunities to work on diverse client projects and collaborate with top architects and artists.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in interior design.
• Professional Degree in Interior Design or related field preferred.
• Portfolio must showcase finished work and your role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Google Sheets, InDesign, Photoshop, Sketchup or Rhino.
• Passionate, self-motivated designer with collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work in a team and stay organized.
• Driver's license and transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design team to prepare client presentations.
• Source furniture, lighting, fabrics, and finishes for projects.
• Price selections, handle vendor communications, and manage samples.
• Update and maintain Furniture + IA plans in AutoCAD.
• Assist with purchasing and invoicing for projects.
• Create and update elevations in CAD, including renderings.
• Maintain project budgets and timelines, and day-to-day needs.

Our work includes serene penthouses and seaside estates, whimsical commercial projects, and curated artful residences in California and Miami. We are looking for a juniorInterior Designer to join our team and work on residential and commercial projects. The candidate should have design experience on high-end residential projects where he/she was involved in all phases of the interior design process. The ideal candidate would be a gifted designer who is organized and able to vision and manage parts of a project.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Workingwithdesign team to create and to prepare client presentations
• Sourcing offurniture, lightingand fabricsand finishes
• Pricing out of all selections, vendor correspondence,allsample requests and returns
• Updating and maintainingFurniture + IA plansinAutoCAD
• Assist with purchasing and invoicing for on behalf of project
• Creating, updating and MaintainingElevationsin CAD, including Rendered elevations
• Maintainingand managingproject budgets and timelinesand overall day to day project needs and expectations

Requirements& Qualifications

• Minimum 2+years’ experience
• Professional Degreein Interior Design or related fieldis preferred
• Be able to showcase finished workin your portfolio and discuss what your role was
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Google Sheets, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop, Sketchup or Rhino, Programa(this is a plus but not mandatory)
• Passionate, self-motivated designer, able to take direction easily and collaborative mindset
• Ability to work in a teamand manage yourself, your time and be well organized
• Drivers license and transportation required

Salary/Benefits

The Scale Collective offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience. Holiday pay, sick time and a week off between Christmas and New Years, and Health & Transportation reimbursements.

Location

This is a hybrid position located in Marin County, California. Candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area strongly preferred. Will consider remote for the right candidates.
