Mercyhealth is seeking a qualified sonographer to perform fetal ultrasound examinations across OB/GYN/MFM offices in the Rockford region. You will document findings in the digital system and communicate results to the interpreting physician.

The role requires graduation from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program and ARDMS certification, with obstetrical ultrasound experience preferred. Join a team focused on safety, quality, and patient care at Mercyhealth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program.
• Obstetrical ultrasound experience preferred; high-risk perinatal experience a plus.
• Ability to learn protocols and work at 1 of 5 OB/GYN/MFM offices in the Rockford region.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned fetal ultrasound examinations.
• Document thoroughly in the digital reporting software.
• Communicate history and findings to interpreting Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician.
• Operate ultrasound transducers and adjust settings to ensure patient safety and image quality (ALARA).
• Participate in department quality assurance meetings.
• Follow safety rules and regulations.
• Evaluate equipment and place work orders when needed.
• Collaborate with team to deliver high-quality patient care.
