Job summary

Insomniac is seeking a Site Experience Laborer to ensure the success of event productions by performing the technical and physical aspects of show production in dynamic environments. The role requires a hands-on approach to load-in/out, cabling, equipment maintenance, and strict adherence to safety standards.

You will collaborate with crew leads, operate various equipment, and help deliver high-energy experiences at concerts and festivals, including evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Festival or concert tour experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and U.S. passport.
• Credit card for hotel incidentals.
• Ability to operate forklifts and lifts.
• Basic lighting knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with web and mobile tech and two-way radio.

Responsibilities

• Performs load-in and load-out of department equipment and props.
• Assist with audio/lighting cabling as needed.
• Communicate event details to crew leads.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment and props.
• Comply with safety regulations.
• Operate and maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Project a professional image and be a team player.
• Safely operate various types of utility vehicles and heavy equipment
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Use hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.
• Assist with emergency and unscheduled repairs.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test, and adjust.
• Detect faulty operations and report to crew lead.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
