Job summary

Sundance Institute in Boulder, Colorado is seeking a Festival Associate Producer, Video Content to execute marketing video content including Meet the Artist videos, Daily Recaps, and How to Fest segments under the direction of the Content Producer. This full-time temporary role runs from Monday, October 26, 2026 to Friday, February 19, 2027, with extended hours including evenings and weekends.

Team rotation may occur across Boulder, Salt Lake City, LA, or NYC before consolidating in Boulder for

Qualifications

  • 3 years of content producer experience, agency liaison experience, or related.
  • Ability to solve problems proactively and positively.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage a small team.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills including prioritization.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Working knowledge of databases and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Track video assets from raw footage to final edits and social cuts.
  • Coordinate requests for photos and video from internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as liaison between Content Team and local vendors/contractors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to produce high-quality marketing materials.
  • Monitor production schedules and deliver initial cuts on time.
  • Route feedback and revisions for content.
  • Prepare assets with accessibility measures and basic finishing.
  • Assist with producing duties and asset gathering as needed.

Festival Associate Producer, Video Content

The Festival Associate Producer, Video Content is charged with executing marketing video content, such as Meet the Artist videos, Daily Recaps, and How to Fest videos assigned by the Content Producer related to the Festival.

Working closely under the direction of the Content Producer, Festival Associate Producer, Video Content supports Sundance Institute’s commitment to creating content that highlights the needed work of independent filmmakers, and the resources that Sundance Institute provides these artists..

This temporary position works full-time (40 hours per week) from Monday, October 26, 2026 to Friday, February 19, 2027 and will be required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This position may be based within a commutable distance to Boulder, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, Los Angeles, CA, or New York, NY, until the department comes together in Boulder, CO in January to support the in-person elements of the Festival.

Top priorities include but are not limited to…

  • Tracking video assets from raw footage to completed video edits, social cutdowns, and user-generated content (UGC).
  • Responding to requests for photo and video from internal stakeholders, and support in creating daily schedules for on-the-ground capture.
  • Be a key liaison between the Content Team and local vendors, contractors, and other local partners.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, creative teams, and Festival personnel on all projects to generate high-quality marketing materials.
  • Working with the Content team to monitor production schedules to deliver initial cuts ahead of due dates, in order to allow adequate time for revisions prior to deadlines.
  • Receiving and routing feedback and revisions for assigned content.
  • Preparing assets for delivery with all requested accessibility measures and basic technical finishing.
  • Handling producing duties as needed including, seeking approvals, gathering needed assets, etc.
  • Acting as a point-person on the production team to help communicate to the team of Contractors in the lead-up and throughout the duration of the festival.

You have the following direct or transferable qualifications and skills:.

  • 3 years of content producer experience, agency liaison experience, or related.
  • Ability to solve problems proactively and positively.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage a small team.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people.
  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products preferred.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
